The removal of late fees and late interest is addressed within the Payment Plan Agreement.
The late fees and interest continue to accumulate during a payment plan for two reasons:
- Late fees and late interest are automatically applied by our system to any account having a balance on the date late fees are processed. There is not a way to stop individual accounts from being charged the late fee.
- If for some reason the homeowner is not able to make the payments as scheduled in the Payment Plan Agreement, and does not communicate with Kuester about a new plan, then the payment plan goes into default, and all late fees and interest will not be waived and becomes part of the outstanding balance.
